Kid Kart fitting LO206

Hello, I have a new Nitro Kart Kid Kart Chassis that needs to be fitted with an LO206. I’m having trouble finding info on the specific parts I need and how its setup. The manufacture says its done but they don’t carry the parts to do it. Just not much information on this. I was hoping to find information about the clutch configuration if its different, tank, sprocket, chain, and mount. I may have left something out. Thanks.

I can help a little. Ultimately, I’m not as familiar with the nitro as other KKs.

For our top karts you needed:

Kk206 engine package (it comes with clutch).
57 tooth rear gear
#35 chain
Motor mount (we use PMI’s thick plate for maximum offset).
Fuel tank
Fuel line
Fuel filter

Here is the tank we use. If your kiddo has long legs, put it under steering shaft. If it interferes with their legs, put it mounted on sidepod (takes additional pieces).

Here is the mount:

Check the rules where you’ll be running to see if they require a certain gear ratio or clutch. Our local club races require specific ones. You’ll also want to check weight and you might have to add lead, but that’s not required for practice laps.

Does the side pod have to be trimmed to fit? It’s like photos of these karts don’t exist…

Maybe this?

That looks like it’s definitely in trim the side pod territory.

I’m trying to find pictures of how the LO206 fits in the chassis. I’ve had some luck looking at for sale ads.

  1. Looks like the clutch is flipped on most with the sprocket on the inside.
  2. Side pods look cut out for engine clearance.
  3. Fuel tank is the above mailbox style or an aluminum tank from lucky 7 power sports.

Yes to all those points.

What angle is the mount you run?

15 degrees to get the carb up above the right rear tire.
