I have the kz software from nt project for jetting, which gives different options from different airboxes. It’s a pricey bit of software.
Short answer is yes it does make a difference.
If you would like me to run some of your setups with the different airboxes on the software, send me a pm. Just to give you an idea of the adjustments required between boxes.
It doesnt give you a specific jet, but you enter in your details then it will tell you what to adjust. There are a couple of graphs then to give you an idea of what to change.
I typically use jetting app first to get my start point, input the details into the desktop and adjust from there.
I haven’t had much use of the software just yet, but it gives much more varibles to adjust and compare than the apps.
I just made the switch from the nitro to the power, had to go one leaner on the idle jet and one rich on the main to get my min and max EGTs back to the sweet spot. The power box feels faster, but I can’t really see anything in my data backing that up.
From my own track testing, there is an average delta variance of about 20 / 25 degrees celcius between the two. The Active “streches” the engine, as it reaches the higher RPMs in a less forceful manner. The drawback is a less full mid range vs the nitro at iso carburation.
