My friend purchased a kart that had been sitting for a long time. We determined that the carburetor needed cleaned so the engine would start so we had to break the seals. We replaced everything exactly how it was, but now clean. Is it possible to get the it re-sealed. How do rebuilds work for these engines? I am new to karting and I thank you for your help.
Any seal that involves the carburetor must be something done by the local kart club it was raced at. The LO206 seals are for the left hand side of the case and only prevent you disassembling the short block. The head can be removed and maintenance work on valves. Carbs and be cleaned and rebuilt as needed. All parts are spec parts so very specific parts including things like head gasket and spark plug.
