Hey just picked up a 206 kart. One of the rear wheels is slightly bent. I’d like to get a new set of wheels. Are beadlock wheels needed… or just standard aluminum wheels without beadlocks like the VanK just fine? Thanks
Hey Thomas, not sure about lo206, but i was told to run aluminum for rain. Transfers heat too well for dry weather.
Need for beaadlocks somewhat depends on the tire compound. It’s worth having them as insurance if you end up running on a medium or soft compound IMO.
The aluminum actually retains heat more than magnesium wheels which is why they are preferred for rain. To some extent possibly the flex also.
