Does anyone ever drill out side pod sleeves? I find the side pods annoyingly difficult to get on and off.
I’ve measured center-to-center on both sides to rule out any frame tweaks. The measurement is also the same as another kart, so I think the frame is fine.
Is there any reason not to drill them out 1/16” bigger?
I would agree when they are tight it is a pain. It may cause some chassis bind as well. Do you have drill bits that large? Might just use a square sided carbide bit to loosen the fit.
Is it because the nerf bars are bent/tweaked?
If each end goes in fine but they are a pain to get in both at the same time, might just need to persuade the nerf bar to make the attachment points more parallel.
