MAXXIS Prime Tires!

Hey guys!

Has anyone here already driven with the new tires that have been used for about a year now in the CIK-FIA European Championship — the Maxxis Prime tires?

What’s your opinion?

Well , we just switch to new maxxis tires to all 3 karts on our team sir .

And the previous rubber we have was always used sets of vega greens with little use from the italian championship ..

after one big day of practice with the maxxis . I had seen my best lap time till now with those .

They are decent tyres. , i am feeling them just a touch harder that vega greens and maybe. Need some more time to get them into grip ..

But when they did .. they give me confidence to go some further faster than usaly .. they let me try new things and when its time to spin out .. they start to warn me first .

A good all around tire for us . We run 125 and 175cc 2 stroke class karts here .

The picture is after 4 sessions of 12 minute drivings each session . And the tires was brand new in the morning before we drive .

Hard shoulder that requires very low pressures for direct drive categories. Can be surprisngly fast on a rubbered track. Relatively wide operation window.

They are good tires all in all.

Are they comparable to LeCont LH03?

Uhhhh i’m not familiar with the compound. Knowing LeCont, i assume it’s a rebranded LOH Option (which is what they do a lot, LeVanto for instance).

If that is the case, i would guess the Prime Maxxis is a touch slower.

Alright thank you!

I assume there is no difference between LH03 SWE and DK models?

AUS version of the LH03 is slightly harder?
