I’m having trouble mounting a 206 on a cadet. Specifically,
right side pod
chain guard and seat collision
I could move the seat over a little but the corner of the chain guard makes me nervous in the event of a crash. Should I trim it a little?
Regarding the side pod, it’s already sticking out so far. Cutting it is going to require cutting the steel, not just the plastic. I may be able to smash it with a small sledge to make space.
I ended up just hammering the upper pod tube out of the way and I used a heat gun to soften the pod plastic. For the chain guard, I cut about 5mm off the corner.
just cut the chain guard. All mine are cut, or bent in some way to clear the seat. Are you on a 0 degree motor mount?. On my crg, i put 1" plastic plugs in the side pod bar to space it out a bit more, but its still a very tight fit.
Yes. Just trim the chain gaurd as needed. Add a bit more clearance to allow for flex. That will help prevent the seat from cracking. Not as big of a deal when the kid is tiny but before you know it…
