Fantastic!!!Congrats
They are shipping world wide, but demand is super high. It will take a while to get them all out and catch up with all the orders.
For folks that were worried about the size, here is a shot on my kids Nitro Cadet and with an M5S.
A bit sad that they are still using the same formula. Reflective screen, good ol’ buttons. They can do better
Many thanks for the photos. I would like to get the user manual but I can´t find it. Anyone knows where can I get it? I have many doubts and I would like to read it
Regards
I haven’t seen one yet. What things on the unit would you like to see? I can try and take photos videos today for you.
I saw this video in youtube:
And there I can see a QR code but I can´t read it
Maybe there it is the user manual but I can´t get it
Regards
That goes to the documentation page for all products and is universal.
The info on the M6 that is available right now is at AiM - Products documentation
I know the documentation team is working away on the manual for the M6 and other products. The M6 and XLog have started shipping, the ACC3 was just released, the EPM is coming, the 4 cylinder ECU is being installed in some applications, and there is always more in the works. They have their work cut out!
I’m happy to get photos or videos of things people want to see.
Many thanks
It is not available but it is strange a product available without manual
One thing I would like to know is (in Mychron5 was not possible) if in Mychron 6 can be shown 2 laptimes (one for example Best and other predicted/rolling) In other laptimers (SOLO2,PzRacingPlus,…) is possible. In Mychron5 only one laptime can be displayed. Can you check this for me please?
if you mean in a live session, no.
Yes, I mean in a live session
Is not possible?
you can only have 1 lap time to compare in a live session. The news from the 6 is the predictive bar, which, to few drivers, gives you real time feeling on where you need to improve your performances.
No, but sort of. The predictive screen will show the bar graph for +/- Best Time while you can show a lap time - Static in the photo, but it could be Static, Rolling, +/- Best, Predictive, Best, or blank.
Many many thanks for the info
Really appreciated with the photo. It is very clear for me now. Many thanks
would be really interested to see one mounted on an OTK steering wheel with the traditional behind the wheel mount.
Did the 6 bring back the “blind time” so sprint course starting procedures on a short pass-through don’t get counted as your fastest lap?
Do you mean the block out time for a beacon when there are multiple present? No, that is not there for GPS based systems.
No, not quite that. There used to be a setting for MyChron maybe 4 or 5 years ago called “blind time”. If you were using GPS to calculate lap times (and maybe beacon too?), you could set a blind time that meant Mychron would ignore any lap time under the blind time.
So say at our home sprint track a typical race lap is 41s, but the small oval we use to form the grid and start the race takes 25 seconds to go around. Today with Mychron 5S, the 25 second loop/shortcut to get green flag will establish fastest lap of session and screw up any predictive lap time function or smartycam overlay data.
Setting a blind time of 30s or better maybe 39 seconds would eliminate those short formation laps being considered the fastest lap.
The suggested way to avoid this with current 5S software is to move start/finish location in track map to some point beyond where the shortcut for formation laps take place… but then your start finish location is not in its true to life location and causes its own goofiness with SmartyCam video and lap time on your last flying lap, as you’ll likely lift off after checkered flag and before you get to artificial start/finish.
I have not seen that since beacons, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t there.
Can you send me an email ([email protected]) with the track name and a data file? I’ll get with AiM and see if there is anything we can do. I talked to them today and we couldn’t find a session with this issue, but I can certainly have them take a look.
