Need help finding a team

I live in Las Vegas. I want to get into racing, but our local track doesn’t really have any races, just one SKUSA event I wont be able to make. The only other race I could do would be the Super Nats. :joy: I don’t have a truck/trailer to travel to SoCal and the racing scene there seems pretty sparse these days anyways.

I travel to Ohio, near New Castle Motorsports Park, to visit family a few times a year. Does anyone know of teams over there that would let me rent a chassis for a local race? Or I guess even a SKUSA race would be fine if teams don’t really do local races. I also travel to Spain/Italy a few times a year to visit family and I’ve heard it’s cheaper there? I’d be open to that as well, if it actually is cheaper.

If anyone has a team or can name some I could contact for pricing I’d appreciate it. I reached out to Top Kart and Nash already, but never heard anything back (maybe mentioning it would be my first race was a bad idea). I’m not looking to spend 10k a race. I can work on my own kart and just need a chassis/access to some tools.

New Gen Motorsports
AMaxx Racing
MPG Motorsports

All based here in Whiteland, about 30 minutes from New Castle.

Look up Adrenaline Fix karting. They support all New Castle club races and are set up perfectly to support you.

I think you should buy an E-Z-up, a jetski trailer, and replicate my toolbox - it’ll be equivalent to one weekend’s tent fees.

This is a great call. Jim is a stand up guy, very reasonably priced and always has a seat available. An absolutely great first choice for an entry into karting.

If you make it to the other side of the state we do a similar club level program at Pitt Race and will do the same at the new Quaker City track. Much of what we do was inspired by what Jim does at New Castle frankly.

Thank you! I’ll reach out to them.

I think the closest area with a good turn out would be Texas, a 20 hour drive one way.

If you want Sprint style racing, there is PKRA in Phoenix about six hours away (https://www.pkra.com) and you might look into the new track the put in Pahrump (https://www.springmountainmotorsports.com) Not sure who is running the Sprint track or what kind of program they are doing. If you like Long track stuff you can run with us, Southwest Karters (https://www.facebook.com/groups/109926125697597). NCK has a race coming up in September outside of the Las Vegas speedway. So plenty of racing but you might have to drive a little.

Thanks. Yeah, I’m a member at the track in Pharump. They aren’t having any races. Just hosting one SKUSA event. I didn’t know they were running a race at the Las Vegas speedway. That may work.

NCK is a Road Race club - long track stuff. Their page is here: https://nckroadracing.com
