New brake line keeps leaking

Any tips to Stop brake lines from leaking.?

I installed a new brake line on my shifter and it keeps leaking from the fitting. I’m assuming the new brake lines come with seals installed

Thanks

There shouldn’t be any seal in there just a flared or flareless fitting.

Make sure you’ve got the right fitting (flared vs flateless) you can’t mix a flared female B nut and a flareless male Union.

If they’re correct inspect the flare on the Union closely you might’ve cracked it tightening it up.

I Mean I Tighten it up snug with a wrench, it’s not like I came into it

Might be best to disassemble and post a picture of how everything looks

Ok here are some pics of the leaking rear brake line/ master cylinder

The picture with the pick it where it’s leaking from. Between the master cylinder male fitting and the female brake line

Not too easy to tell but the fitting sealing face inside the hose looks kind of beaten up. Is it? Looks like a standard flareless fitting I have male and female fittings on my desk I’ll post a pic in the morning what they should look like.

Ignore that these are cap fitting/plug - the sealing concept is the same just imagine there’s a hole through the centre.

The sealing face should be smooth and flat on the female (hose) fitting.

On the male Union, make sure the step on the inside isn’t damaged. The flat piece referred to in the first photo seals against that step. Both have to be in good condition.

Update……

So I had a race this weekend……went well….brakes felt ok but I noticed this on the front master cylinder that I replace

What in the heck could be making the brake fluid on the new front master cylinder, go so dark? I put all new fluid in it ( front and back actually) the rear stayed clean?
