I have a brand new Hilliard Flame Bully conversion kit clutch, and I’ve seen a couple things about sanding the inside drum to create a rough contact patch during maintenance. Does the same apply new a brand new clutch? Do I also rough up the shoes as well?
Clean drum thoroughly with brake clean before first use. From then on out just follow Hilliard’s maintenance plan. It really is that simple. What track do you race at?
For Club I race at Twin Fountains Raceway in Shelbyville, TN. Hopefully if i can get the logistics right I’ll race at AMP in their series and maybe a CKNA race.
Perfect. None of those tracks are abusive to clutches. Stick with that. Clean weekly and you’re good to go.
