I understand why they just dont want the public running there new E karts.. Each kart costs $ 18000.00 plus chargers and batteries. So they dont want them destroyed by people who dont know how to properly run them. So joining there karting club and instruction of how to run them is a good thing. And only autocross style racing will keep the karts in good shape.. Alot of people complain about them being a private place.. Nobody complains about the private golf courses alot of people belong too.. Its just a private race course.. Same thing except motorsports place.. Plus in the day of alot of race courses closing its the only way to keep one open make it a business that pays for itself..
- Electric kart only ✓
- Autocross only, no racing ✓
- Fun found ✗
Thats why theres places like this different strokes for different folks.. E karting Only Track Yeaaaa… For people who love that platform … And Autocross events are growing in the States just smaller race vehicles and smaller track.. And its a level playing field all about how good a driver you are not how much money you can spend to be fast… Autocross is Racing …. Thats whats good about our K1 Speed Canton Ohio Endurance Races that they can only do.. All about the driver..Not the kart as much..
You have to be delulu if you think that.
Nope again just a opinion like yours all good … Discussion..
This is so unequivocally untrue. Have you met a golfer?
Not only that, but perhaps there are significantly more regular golfers than racers in the United States. This results in an abundance of golf courses (compared to sprint racing tracks), meaning that “members only” courses aren’t as big of a deal, since there are other options within a reasonable distance. I’m sure the majority of people drive past more golf courses than karting tracks on a day to day basis. On the way to my home track (1 of 3 in my state), I drive past 6 golf courses.
A plethora of options and people is not the case with karting. There are an estimated 30,000 active sprint karters in the United states, compared to over 30 million active golfers. So when a track like this is not available to the community that keeps the sport alive, it is indeed disappointing.
People on this forum disagree with you so firmly because you often present your opinions as fact, and it is clear that you more often than not put zero effort into engaging with people’s responses to your posts. It is rarely a discussion, as you usually recycle the same talking points without acknowledging valid criticism.
Yikes. Doesn’t seem that cheap.
I bought my Duke 790 for 10k. 115hp I can bring to the track
I have to agree somewhat.
I would not be able to be as deeply obsessed with this if it was only autocross or TT.
There’s driving and racing which are 2 things that are two seperate skill sets that need to come together.
I think M1 Concourse is on to something with autocross style races.. Hope that grows to other venues would be great for older karts to come out and compete.. With the new stuff..
I do not lol. If I was rich, and felt like paying a million dollars a year to drive a kart that resembles a video game more than a go kart, I’d want to at least be able to drive against other people at the same time. Like bare minimum.
The fact that they are paying 18k for a RENTAL KART is a whole different problem, but with all 255 garages on the property occupied, even though they cost as much as a decent home, this makes me feel like M1 has the money to maintain their ridiculous purchases.
If I wanted to go to a game center with a go kart track attached to it, Id just go to K1 Speed (in Canton, Ohio, of course) like everyone else. No reason to pay 3x that to go do the same thing at M1’s new “all inclusive” entertainment center, regardless if it’s in a BlueShock Electric Race Kart.
Are they going to use gas or diesel generators to charge these electric karts?
Oh I think Blueshock and K1 Speed Race Karts will be growing at other tracks if owned by K1 Speed or others.. This is just a start.. And people who are at M1 Concourse that own the garages are people who have money and good for them. Alot of them built up there companys and want a place to hang out with people like them.. Kind of like a private golf course.. And Blueshock Karts are true real race karts they are birel art karts with Blueshock Powerplants on them.. Should try one sometime they are ROCKETS compared to ICE karts.. More like a shifter kart without shifting.. Dont know about charging.. Know the Blueshock American E kart Championship is going to have a stop there this fall at M1 Concourse..
Seriously. I think we can guess his preference.
I will say. It sounds like it would be a good source of entertainment on a day I couldnt go to the race track.
But thats about it. At the end of the day, theyre $18000 rental karts that will probably be used like rental karts by people who dont any better.
I hope @Artis_Daugins pays @Ruppdartkart . Honestly he deserves it
So is it 18k with charger? If so, then folks spending 15k on KZ shifters new aren’t that far off…
Nicest thing you have said to me Tanguy.. Thank You.. We have always seem to have different views on electric race karts. But it has been all in spirited fun thou doesnt seem that way sometime.. I have always enjoyed it.. NO I dont and wont take anything from Artis of Blueshock . I just love electric karts and his products and so does 14 year old grandson..
But has your grandson ever experienced a Briggs race with a full field? It sounds like he has only been exposed to rentals. If you’re happy than good for you. It really seems like you are out of touch with the actual mainstream kart community.
NOPE just wilder times than today.. Raced in the 70s Rupp Endurance Laydown Karts and Rupp Sprint Karts with twin Mac 10s and single or dual 4 cycle Deco Grand motors. Alot wilder karts and motors than today. Also my dad was a Engineer for Rupp Kart Manufacturing Mansfield Ohio in the 70s. Raced at alot of tracks Mid Ohio / Elkhart / Adkins / Whiteland / and other tracks.. But thanks for asking … Appreciate it..
