Old School 100cc Megatopic

According to James, that involves seizing piston at 19k down back straight and entry to shadow realm? Video please!

Correct.

Added benefits of you do a really good job are shrapnel in your driving suit, flatspotted tires and broken chain. Ah yes, the good days lol. Definitely character building.

Finally got the Italsistem ML21 and Parilla MAG95 back together after rebuild and vapor blasting. Super happy with the end results

Nice to bring back some of the good old stuff back to life 🫶🏻

Youve got a lot of cool engines! What do you end up doing with them all? Do you have a nice display shelf going?

I restore them and let them breathe at 19k rpm :raised_hands:t2:

I don’t really have a shelf yet, but I’ll do something nice for sure.

Today I ran in the Mag95, very nice and powerful. Almost as my VL95

Few laps around Apex in Perris, CA. Gives you an idea of how these compare against modern karts in a normal practice day. You’ll see a 4 stroke, KA and shifters. In the right hands (not mine), they can hold their own against anything.

This was in FA configuration (24mm carb) and old evinco reds (takeoffs from a shifter from last year, July-ish 2023 I guess). On softer tires (Bridgestones) it’s magic

I finally learned the trick! took a while and I’ve probably run the equivalent of a 10K in the process

Wonderful! It adds on the nostalgic feeling when driving the old ones

Haha! Shame on the one who surrenders as we say in Sweden

Soon ready for the track, some small adjustment, stickers and a new front panel in a slightly newer form. I don’t like the current one…

Hopefully it is faster than my 34mm PCR, even tho the PCR is way more beautiful
