A shifter is more biased to the rear, but a ton of lead would have similar effect. You can always slide the kart forward on the stand to balance once tilted level again. I have no lead on the kart, but still pull it forward to make it more stable to move and work on.

I’ve been able to do it with my 125s. I’m not found of how much effort it takes though… or how you can feel the frame flex. Unnerving.
