Starting another one today. This is for my daughter who comes out to the track with me a few times a year to drive one of our Rotax max karts. I had a plan in mind to airbrush a caricature of her on the helmet but she wouldn’t go for it😄. We’ve come up with a simple, mostly black and white design that I may embellish slightly.

It will look better with the dark visor on to break up the big white segement around the eye port.

Looks really sick! I’m very much a less or more person when it comes to helmet paint.
If you’re bored this winter and want more practice I’ve got a helmet that will be retired this year and relegated to practice only. Was gonna mess around with painting it myself, but I don’t think I’ll have time as winter here is when I get the most driving time in and my real job continues to ramp up.

I will definitely think about painting your out of date helmet if it is a fairly simple design that you want. Come up with a design and send it to me. Also is the helmet plain colored?
I am just about to paint a downhill mountain biking helmet for myself then a street motorcycle helmet for a friend so it would be a little while before I could get to it.

I’ll shot ya some ideas I’ve sketched out. Essentially a single color Ocon or Mazapin design with the carbon of my helmet popping through. I’m in love with Toyota’s Solar Octane. Looks so good in the sun, really highlights well.

Did you use tape to mark he lines on your helmet or are those decals? If you’re using tape what kind is it? I’m going to be painting the plastics on my kart and I’ll be doing something matching for my helmet. Thanks!

Everything on the helmet is painted except to Zamp Logo. I mostly use FBS fineline vinyl tape. I also use sheet vinyl to cut out the masks on my cricut…
