I’m not in the kart yet, but I had to share with someone that I got a new chassis!! Really looking forward to race this weekend! Got rained out last Saturday.

My wife is on my case about selling my old chassis now—I told her not until after I race…otherwise most of the other guys will know I got something new!!!

I’m going to have to do the same and share a photo without me given karting has been banned in Victoria, Australia, effectively since late March.

I’ve used the lockdown here to completely overhaul my kart. I tore it down, sent the chassis off to be straightened, the engine to be rebuilt, and then put it back together while inspecting every nut and bolt. Even the stickers are new. It was huge fun and I know my kart much better now, which will pay dividends when playing mechanic in the pits under pressure.

I’m hoping I’ll have a picture of me in it before the end of the year after Karting Victoria opens tracks this October. Can’t bloody wait.
