Nice looking livery!

It’s definitely competition oriented, but really we welcome people that want to have fun with go karts. I think you’ll find value here for your projects.

Selfishly I’d love to know more about your turbo diesel build.

If i cant build a frame/afford one I will make a diesel mini bike

Doesn’t the orientation of the carb on the WF kinda minimize the usefulness of that rain cover? I can literally see the filter from the picture. I guess my question is: Did it work?

I’ve never tried a plastic cup or bottle or anything but I’ve got one that wraps all the way around that works well. It’s like a plastic fabric

Great question! It seemed to work well. Filter wasn’t very dirty and I didn’t end up with any engine issues. It was kinda a “in a pinch” thing. I may try and fab something else up to flip the rain hood for next time.

That looks to be the 206 rain cover. Which means its A not preventing water and B could be argued to be providing a ram air.

Dont over think it. Most W/F guys just cut a hole in a gator-aide bottle or coffee can and send it.

Is ram air illegal? It would boost performance, corect?

Yes. Yes. 20characters

Yeah, that’s basically my plan for WF and Tillotson. Definitely need to get something fabbed before the Tillotson PGP races.

Ah dang.
Oh no I put my cone shaped air cover on backwards, even though it’s sunny out

Not technically in the kart, but a good one none the less. My boy had been waiting for his first podium for a while, and some engine issues during the second half of the season relegated him to the mid pack. Last race of the year finally had everything working properly, he got his first podium and decided to celebrate with some ginger ale in his trophy that night.

Bas, if I am not mistaken, it’s a copy of Parma. They even brought some of the kerbing over.

It’s currently one of the premier tracks in the USA by reputation and racing events held there. I was fortunate to make a road trip there and it is well worth a visit, should you be in the states.
