Yeah. I’m not sure why so many riders here don’t wear abrasion resistant gear. Might be cultural. It seems like UK/Europe generally has bikers fully kitted out.
Also, while I’m being a picky old man,it would appear that’s his karting helmet.Maybe he went full car helmet instead of kart.
Yeah it differs a lot, way to many bikers in the America that doesn’t have any gear at all
Karting/car helmets are generally safer than the road helmets. But they are absolute crap in the higher speeds than a ordinary biker helmet that is more aerodynamic designed
Well I used to have a bike and I did consider the downsides (pun intended) of not wearing leathers, but when it 90+ and sunny having full leathers for a casual ride was a tough decision and I would go the non-leather route. I would at least wear jeans and decent footwear, but I have seen riders with shorts and flip flops (crazy). I miss my bike but I’ve seen too much.
Pffft done that so many times in the UK Woken up in the back of our van on race day with icicles on the roof inside then go out same as your pic to race in snow flurries!
Not a kart photo but wanted to shoutout @Alan_Dove for the killer merch. Most karting apparel is pretty mundane but this House of 100 pullover looks sick and fits great. Wonderful couch-wear as I watch IndyCar qualifying.
