Orlando cup masters shifter. I have been driving my old 2002 mod honda some, and racing tillotsons at orlando for the last year or so. Got a new KZ setup and raced it last night. Good first outing battling for the podium, and I had a fastest sector time. Chassis is dialed, still haven’t settled on the best gear ratio yet.
Finished 2nd in the heat after a jump start, started the main 3rd, lots of back and forth with the 3 guys gunning for 3rd. So fun!
He passed me in the prefinal and I was able to tag along for a bit. He has his kart dialed in and he’s so smooth. I could bonsai a lap and kinda make up for some of it but not consistently. Getting the gearing right should close the gap some.
To be competitive from a CR125 to a KZ is super impressive. Your indicated average speed is 94 mph (over 150 km/h) - is that right? Is this a road/long circuit?
Thanks for the kind words. I had to tap back into my old 500cc two stroke dirt karting days to accommodate the power increase!
My honda is a really fast one but the TM is faster and more “abrupt”. The honda is easier to drive for sure.
Regarding the speed and track, I think that is supposed to be km/h. Top speed is 80mph, and there are a bunch of hairpins where minimum speed is 30 ish. Orlando is on the tighter side.
