I haven’t explored kart sim’s in a few years because last I looked into it I felt like they were all incomplete or pretty inaccurate. Are they any better now?
I’m on iRacing 2-3 nights a week messing around driving for fun and use it because it’s the benchmark for SIM’s in my opinion.
Honestly, I don’t know. KK is unsupported and there has been nothing new.
I think enthusiast stuff like these projects are what we’ve got. I haven’t tried the mods yet.
@AndreLafond seems to really like modded AC a lot.
Ohyeah’s stuff is pretty sick, really support his work.
Hey guys! Yes, these are two of my latest photogrammetry-scanned track projects. I’ve built them for both Assetto Corsa and Kart Racing Pro. They aren’t complete; the only completed building is the rental garage at NCMP; I’m still working on the other buildings.
As mentioned, I’m also working on my own kart vehicle mod for Assetto Corsa using some new tech that most kart mods out there don’t have yet, and a model I made entirely by myself (so far). It’s got a few weird bugs with regards to the handling over the limit; I’m working on solving those issues. Assetto Corsa should be able to simulate karts just fine with the new physics extensions brought to it with Custom Shaders Patch. I’m calling it the Modular Kart because in the future, once the base configuration is working, I’ll be able to model extra engines, different stiffness chassis, and make other changes to create different classes (LO206, X30, KZ shifter, etc.).
