Red and Black Racing Shoes?

Looking for my grandson for Red and Black Racing shoes ? Trying to stay around $ 100.00 or less. He races at K1 Speed and eventually in Tillotson Gas rental karts and then Tillotson T4 Race karts… Hope anybody can help what’s the best you have found for that price range ?? Thanks K1 Racer…

Zamp makes some good stuff for a decent price.

Can probably find under $100 with sparco, OMP, Alpinestars, and probably most popular Motorsports brands.

My daughter uses the Alpinestars red and black shoe, but just throwing this into google gave a lot of results:

“red and black karting shoes under $100”

I find wrestling shoes to be just as good as karting shoes if you don’t need full leather coverage:

I second wrestling shoes. Not knowing the age of your Grandson, I’m making assumption that he will be growing. You can find clearance ASICS on their page and even some very light use items at play it again. Typically 1/2 the cost of, or even more than actual driving shoes.

When my son was growing up, we bought from ASICS, eBay and Amazon for low cost options on the shoes.

Wrestling shoes are great. They’re basically the same as karting shoes. Thin sole, high ankle, very flexible, and usually made of some sort of leather or abrasion resistant fabric. My first pair of “racing shoes” were a pair of wrestling shoes I got on clearance for $15, brand new. They even matched my suit at the time. Check out the sale aisle at a sporting goods store and you can probably find something that matches for cheap.

I actually bought new wrestling shoes this year to race in because I needed new boots and didn’t want to shell out $150 for karting shoes.

As an addendum, I used to use baseball gloves for racing gloves also… It’s now “fashionable” for the gauntlet style, but I think the abrasion resistance is at least as good for the leather ones. I also like the Kart Racewear™ gloves:

I have these boots, they are really good for the money!
