Curious to see if anyone ever bothered to use a reed press?
I’m assuming it gives a more consistant performance when replacing reeds, but Is it even quantifiable?
Any experiences with them?
I’ve never even heard of one, but I wonder if this is more to get more life out of a set of reeds. Reeds do get a curve in them from the constant bending so maybe this bends them back? I know some just flip the reeds. Not entirely sure on this one.
I just know my motor builder uses it for all shop rebuilds. Says the reeds are sensitive to deformation, even from how they are packaged and shipped.
