When replacing reeds, is there any prep work that needs to be done? I’ve always just clean the cage and screwed them in? a bit of context… I was checking out a kart supply website and stumbled across the Vamec Reed Press tool and interested if this is a required tool or if anyone has experience with it?
im doing the same , but also change the cage gaskets and when i replace them im check in from the inside view of the cage that the reeds are closing perfect on it and dont let any light comes inside the cage as i check them .
