I’m gonna go from racing 100ccs to Rotax Maxes, and I was just wondering if I’m gonna have to edit my racing line. I’ve learned that in 100cc you have to roll the kart out a bit more so not really a late apex but I don’t know about the Rotax. Is there anything I’m going to have to change in my racing line?
There are so many variables at play it is impossible to say. Every corner will want something different. If you are used to lower HP you may do well with the Rotax, as you need to be smooth to keep it in the power band. It doesn’t have a ton of immediate bottom end power off the clutch so tight sections require smooth inputs to keep rolling speed up until you can get into the mid-range where it makes its power.
