This is a micro category crg kart i tried with 13/72 sprocket ratio of 5.53 (red graph) with typre pressure cold 1 bar on all tyres and hot pressures came upto 1.13 in the front and 1.19 in the rear and ( blue graph ) had 14/72 5.14 ratio , cold n hot pressure was the same , looking at the graph the red graph carries more rpm everywhere,i was wondering why i couldn’t get more speed out of the red ,is it because the pressure setting was wrong for that sprocket . and is there co relation of tyre pressure
to the top speed . the lap times are similar with just 0.03 off
Red carried more speed through the corners, that’s unrelated to the gear ratio. Then red ran out of steam at high rpm where blue had better gearing. If you could mix the two - red’s driving plus blue’s gearing - you’d have a faster lap
Out of the power range. Revving harder, not going anywhere though.
They need torque to pull those engines.
looks like this is a 2 stroke. We run a green slide LO206. I have found with that engine, because of the restrictor, power band is much lower. If we get over 5500-5600 rpm, top speed and laptimes get slower. Seems very backwards, but that’s what works for us.
