Is the issue being the amount of pressure required to change gear or the amount of distance the lever needs to travel or both?
we have all the junior kz driver with that system driving our KZ junior package, they are between 11 and 15 yrs old, so no much strenght on their arm .
For sure you need to adapt a little bit at the begin and after couple of session you are all set.
How much time did you spend with it. 1 race day? 2? 3? I’m wondering if it’s simply a conditioning issue.
2 race days and 4/5 test days.
Intially I thought it was a travel issue and I flipped the paddles around and reduced the distance by a finger width. This helped.
However its the pressure required to change gears is the issue.
Thats interesting.
In terms of strength I can bench 100kg and squat 140kg, forearm and grip strength would be ok. I also box a couple of days a week as the intensity is great for cardio
you are gonna be just fine then.
If you want to buy a set you know where you can find me .
Have you ever tried the vamec paddle shift?
Vamec “big” clutch lever looks clever (maybe), but the paddles aren’t adjustable like on the Motori.
