Jim Paulette has been working on getting racing going at this track in Maine. I believe it’s a roval layout vs straight oval and they have an event in October.

Jim also has some interesting projects going on… One is an economical electric kart and the other is this “gasser”… It’s clone based so will have to see how that plays out.

This place seems cool and he’s been really active on IG with stuff. It definitely caught my eye and seems to be a racer’s kind of place. I also thought his idea of having a policy wherein they place a hold for 1k or thereabouts on your CC when you rent was sensible and well articulated. It communicates “respect the kart and facilities” in a way that hopefully sticks and keeps the imbeciles at bay.
The most recent post (above) is a lovely idea and sort of what I’ve been looking for, minus the kart storage and maintenance, but maybe that’s a thing they will do. Personally I’d want gx270 or Briggs type engine, but I get that they are looking for absolute beginner participants and lowest cost possible. This is kind of along the lines of the kart racing club series I have been dreaming of, at least partially.
I am also a huge fan of their logo, having stumbled across the original one by accident.

(I like the old one a tad better but the modernized one is cool too). I’d buy a tshirt of the old one for sure!
Maine is a bit of a trek but I hope to get up there and check it out someday.
