Before karting I remember putting every/any 50p coin I could find into this. Had to bug my dad to take me to Dublin airport which was the only place I knew had the cockpit version.

It was pretty damn advanced for the time. Optical steering, analog accel/clutch and load cell brake pedal. Dedicated physics chip too.

I pumped my fare share of quarters into those. I remember thinking, if driving a real car is this challenging, I better hone my skills as early as possible. :rofl:

Oddly, I missed this one. By 1988 the arcade at the mall aka Space Port was closed down.
