Anyone want to buy a rental kart? Only driven to church on sundays.
If a normal racing kart is a pain to lug around, I imagine a rental is 2x more annoying.

Can confirm hauling rentals is a pain
Talked with them about buying a few, then I remembered that I promised myself that I would not buy more rental karts this year
A cool effect. How do you think it’s done? I am guessing it’s shooting a frame every second or so.
Good guess… from the link “GoPro Hero 11 - Vehicle Trails (Short) - Shutter: 1 Sec - ISO: 100.”
Aha! I wasn’t sure because you do see arm movements and you’d think with a 1s shutter speed it would be blurred.
I will try this in a practice session. My hero 9 has hyper speed as well as slow mo settings. Would need to be a night race or I’ll need neutral density filters
Old school cool
Studio: we need action, adventure, a big show!
Stuntman: Hold my beer
They actually made a corkscrew ramp for this stunt and stuck it.
Why go half way?
That’s a 911 with trunk space!
Adults vs Kids
Driver 61 and pals race kids. Idea is to see how old they are when they become faster than the adults, I suppose.
Also:
Kart van for one (who needs kids anyways?)
I pulled the trigger and got an amazing deal on a decked out gently used sim rig. Working on getting it all organized and seating position where I want.
I haven’t touched iRacing since maybe 2010 or 2011 so should be fun getting back into it. I’ll have to give KartKraft a try as well.
Excellent! Looks like a very nice setup.
Got a chance to fire it up for a couple minutes last night. All of the sim equipment had come so far in the last 10 years. Night and day from the old Logitech stuff I had back in the day.
Is that a dd? What kind?
Yes it is. VRS Directforce Pro I believe.
I was just looking at racing sims and quickly got overwhelmed with options. Is there a recommended sim that really wows and offers an unbeatable bang per buck?
My first decent race where I wasn’t dive-bombed in T1 was a success, third race overall I think. Cruised to a win after getting a 4-5sec gap and just holding that.
It depends on what you enjoy.
The best all around sim for racing against other people in Motorsport race series is, hands down, Iracing. It’s a monthly sub fee and then you will need to buy tracks and a car for most series. There are some free series, however.
Then there’s the sims they are online/solo/simcade.
Assetto corsa goes on steam sale for 90% off every so often. This is a great sim that also has a big amount of mod stuff available as well, I believe.
Project cars is cool, too. Unfortunately pcars2 was their last episode and it’s getting older.
In the simcade world the Forza and Forza Horizons games are fun, too. They add storyline and missions into the game.
In terms of kart sims I like kartkraft but don’t buy it as it may not be around in a few months.
