Sketch Arrow shifter kart listing facebook

So i just stumbled on this facebook listing, with a arrow shifter kart, vortex rok but the top is from a GP ??? Aperantly the kid got it from his cousin😂 thats alot of money to give to a kid with no knowledge of karting, and it looks like the stickers have been ripped, looks like an attempt to hide it maybe stolen?? No idea what do you guys think? This was posted in the New Jersey area

You’re making a big assumption that person even has that kart in their possession. My guess is that as soon as you try to setup an in-person meeting they’ll come up with lots of reasons why they need a deposit or other payment before a meeting can be set. Seems super scammy to me.

Thats not even a rok shifter. Thats a very old RVXX or something like that that anyone would have trouble finding parts for id assume.

Yeai was gonna lowball it crazy like 600$ beacuse atleast the chasis doesn’t look too bad from the pictures

Yeah but he looks too young to think that far ahead plus his response i could feel his heartbeat go through the roof trying to think of something

I wouldn’t be overly concerned, as long as you see it in person before buying and no deposits/advances ahead of time. The fact that stickers are not on it is not a bad sign per se. Also, lots of people don’t know what they got for free or overpaid for.

$1,500 not even close, cut it in half at least, and assume a full rebuild needed, which is something I suggest for every kart you buy, unless it’s from a trusted source.

If you go see it, take exhaust and spark plug off and look inside to see conditions of piston and cylinder, you can spot right away if it’s really 6 hrs. Even then you don’t know the bottom, just factor it in
