The thing that is annoying about racerender that smartycam solves is that the data overlay is on the raw file, if I understand correctly. This means it doesn’t have to go through the editor and be re-encoded, which is awful for image quality.
The video also incorporates nicely in the software when you’re analyzing the squiggly lines. I think this is on a data-time meta-data of the video & data files.
