Any ideas how to get these stains out?
Molecule Spot Cleaner and Wash. I spray Spot Cleaner on all the light colors of all my suits every time I wash them.
For really stubborn areas I have had success soaking them with Spray Nine and using a scrub brush, then washing as normal.
Try the orange degreaser available at Lowe’s or auto parts stores. You will need to spray it on the stains, scrub it into the stains a bit, and then add a cup of degreaser to you wash. This should take spots out.
Timely post. I’ve been having the same issue with the white portion of my suit, particularly from a piece of rubber that got stuck in between my back and the seat.
I ordered Molecule Spot Cleaner and their detergent, which did not help at all. Washing it three times and utilizing a normal stain remover like oxyclean has helped somewhat, but not in a way that it looks like it is new again.
Will have to try Paul and Rob’s strategy and see how it works out..
soak in dawn cleans everything then wash
Spot Lifter II is an expensive solution, it works pretty good, not perfect.
If Dawn can clean crude oil off a duck, I imagine it works well on grease spots and chain lube stains on your suit too.
We use this quote in our house all the time… If its good enough for a duck, its good enough to try on my race suit.
