Supercharged League 2025

Another Supercharged Season: Fall 2025

We are starting up again, just had first night of quali for the fall 2025 supercharged league.

Pretty good turnout, 54 drivers for Thursday night! Looks like we will have 4 divisions.

We had a pretty good night. I didn’t have trouble in traffic, which can be the case in quali, as we run random groups. Next week, the groups will be sorted a bit more and then we will know our divisions by the end of week 2 quali.

We are expecting new karts late 2025, early 2026. They have done a pretty good job with the old karts, however, and laptimes are reasonably tight.

Should be a a fun season!

This week should be interesting. We had a pretty strong turnout and results were good. Looks like the competition will be stiff, this time.

@RandallC and I barely held on to group 1, and @nikspeeds bad kart draw pushed him down into group 2. Who knows where things will land after our 2nd night of quali, coming up Thursday on track 1. I thought I drove pretty well and didn’t feel like my karts were bad. Must have been a tough field!

Looks more like a amusement karting place ?? Than a real karting race place like our K1 Speed in Canton Ohio is . We do 1/2 / 6 / 12 hour races and ours is more like a real kart track.. Still cool thou..

It’s one of the 360 designs indoors banked places. It’s quite interesting because it’s so unlike a normal track. Lots of elevation changes and the like.

it doesn’t race well since there’s no bailouts and it’s relatively narrow. But, for time trial, it is a lot of fun!

I think people should understand that these kind of places. Are the kind of places people find out what karting is all about and how fun it is. And the Racing Karting Community should embrace these places . Instead of kind of looking kind of down on these places. A lot of our people at K1 Speed go gas after awhile too.. Because if it wasnt for some of these rental places. Karting would not be know about in this day and age of computers and cell phones…

That’s literally what you did a handful of posts ago…

Didnt look down on them. Just said the K1 Speed we go to is more like real kart racing thats all.. I like the other places just more of karting amusement places..

It’s a fair thing to say though. K1 is very much still mostly traditional single level facilities. They haven’t gone the same route. The big efforts are now urban amusement facilities, but the good ones, with racing in their DNA, are really fun. I think it’s kinda “gladiator karting”.

Thank you Dom for explaining that some times my intentions on explaining things don’t come across right.. OLD AGE I guess..

Fall 2025 Quali - Week 2, Track 1

Another week same as last week. I got two karts that felt similar but again, faster results in heat 1. Oddly, exactly same as last week, P4 and then P9. But, it felt like I drove ok and a good time was had.

Not sure where I end up, division-wise. I was on the cut with round 1, so round 2, being similar, probably means similar. We are seeing very tight grouping of times, however. Almost all of the field within a couple tenths and no crazy outliers.

@nikspeeds got better kart draw this time and got P2 in both his heats in group 2. @RandallC and in were within hundredths in both heats. So, not sure what D1 looks like this time.

We haven’t figured out yet what we want to do regarding mulligan rule. We are discussing simply moving to best of two instead of nightly average with 2 mulligans for 4 races.

Edit: results are in. You may all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that @nikspeeds @RandallC and @Bimodal_Rocket will defend the honor of KP for us in D1, yet again.

Fall League 2025 - Race Night 1/4

We held night one of points races on Thursday. For the league, the first two weeks are quali, determining divisions. Weeks 3-6 are points races.

we began on Track 2 and ran two heats. D1 was last out so we had a warm track. In my first heat, I get a bad kart and finish 13th. In my second, I get a good kart and finish 6th,

We changed up the rules a bit and are dropping the mulligans. We used to have 2 mulligans for the 4 races, and would take the average of the 2 laps. Now, we are simply going to use best of the 2, no mullis. So, for tonight, my 6th place finish is the one that matters.

A good start, and the field is stacked. We are all very close, time-wise!

D1, D2, D4 - Fastest Lap of the night will only be counted- NO MULLIGANS can be used

Week 2

Week 2 of the points races went off just fine, with mixed results for yours truly. I got a good kart in heat 1 and a bad kart in heat 2. Since we are doing best of night, it’s less punishing to get a bad kart, which seems to happen more often these days.

That being said, our leaderboards are close as heck. Take a look:

Here’s heat 1: All racers within 1s.

Here’s heat 2: Again, similar. Very close.
