Hi All, just recently I adquired this 2nd kart with a Tilloston engine 225 T4, and has this connector/hose between two valves in the carb … but the line has a cut to it. I don’t know what it is, and if the cut is making any difference. Could anybody help? Thank you.
It’s a vent for the float chamber. Sometimes fuel will splash out of the vents, the tube stops the fuel spilling everywhere.

you blow in this cut to fill the fuel bowl .do this till a few drops spill on ground before you try to start engine

oh wow I had no idea, thanks for clarifying. I see this drop at the bottom of the carb, does this mean the engine is primed and ready to start?
i never look close to see exactly where it drips but yes i blow till drops everytime. guy who sold me my kart new made me blow in it so i knew the “trick” i redo it if it wont fire first pull
