I have a question, I am riding a TM KZ-R1 engine. The engine has just had a new piston and rides very well but I am suffering from an oil leak. ,There seems to be oil leaking through the vent, the exhaust is completely covered in oil as is the bumper and the block. Does anyone have an explanation for this ?
did you store the kart horizondal position when you are not driving it ?
if not , maybe you got to much oil inside your gearbox . check your level first thing

check the video and you will see the bolt that you had to unscrew to check the oil level .
that’s gear box oil, remove 10cc and you’ll be good.

Honestly, I was worried that my crankshaft seals were leaking. So if I understand correctly it is just a minor operation, a known problem so ?
Make sure the oil catch can is venting properly (the black container on top). If not, it may be the reason why this is happening.
IF that checks out, drain the oil completely and check if it was overfilled by mistake and/or contaminated (water/coolant). Put new oil in, in the right quantity.
