I ordered an SRP TM OK-S engine a few weeks ago and it finally arrived. How do I initially setup the carb when I have absolutely no idea where it should be? Does anyone know what to mix the fuel/oil ratio to? Someone had mentioned only 3%, but I can’t find any documentation stating that. Lastly does anyone know what EGT to aim for? I’ve heard these are super sensitive and even a 2m adjustment on the carb and make a huge difference. I tried asking SRP a few times and it didn’t seem to be translating well and I never got an answer out of them.
If you have a Tillotson carb, 2 hr 30 min low needle, 1 hr 5 min on the high needle. Not sure how SRP could misinterpret a carb setting question? Pretty basic yet important stuff to pass on to their customer.

Thank you! Is the oil 3%?
They asked what unit I was using for measurement. I said fahrenheit. Then they said they meant mychron, alfano, etc. I said mychron. They asked what temp sensor. Then said they’d have to check and never got back. Followed up a few times and didn’t get an answer.
3% in racing conditions, 4% for practice. 4% will help with wrist pin lubrication and extend the life, but risks clogging the powervalve. As such, please either use a fully synthetic oil or a semi synthetic that burns very cleanly.
