Track list: how many places have you been?

Whatever and wherever

First thing I do when I get told I’m being sent somewhere on a mission is look for karting establishments. If I spy one my suit n helmet come with me :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I shall keep you posted. Fingers crossed for Tanguy and Job offer. If so, he moves.

Did Eric chime in on this one? I have no doubt he’s been plenty of places with plenty of stories, but I didn’t see him anywhere on here.

I’d also be particularly interested in hearing where @NikG has been and the stories he brings along from all those tracks.

I was lo-key hoping Nik and Alan would pipe up but they probably been to so many tracks that they had a Kimi “Bwoah” moment just thinking about the list.

Oops! I mistook Eric for Aaron! Colorado is Eric.

Winner, winner chicken dinner! Holy cow that’s a lot of turns.

But I haven’t sat in a kart since 2019, so I don’t feel like a winner… :sob: :sob: :sob: :sob:

That seems like a pretty comprehensive TX list. Any missing?

Yes, we are missing a few. Outdoors, HOT in Waco, Rim Rock in Odessa, San Antonio Kart Complex in San Antonio, Houston Karting Complex in Houston, besides a few K1 Speeds.

Actually, I have to add one to the list above, Gulf Coast Karters in Katy, TX.

I get called Eric pretty often anyways, so that’s a pretty easy mixup to make.

I didn’t think I had been to that many tracks, but it ended up that I’ve been to more tracks than I’d thought through Stars and USPKS. Most of them are still primarily Midwest, but I’ve made my way to most of the eastern US by this point.

Favorite track is still by far USAir, probably followed by Badger and then Pittsburgh or Cincinnati and New Castle in 5th

Badger seems to have a small track vibe that people love. Surprising that it’s your fave over New Castle. From a non-local perspective, New Castle seems like Mecca for karting. But, Badger seems like the kind of place you enjoy being at.

Hopefully your daughter will collect all of the Texas tracks (and some out of state too). That would be cool to have experience on all of them.

I haven’t done a lot of kart driving away from close tracks. But I have been to/worked at just about every major car track in North America.

Indoor karts:
Full throttle Cincinnati, OH
Victory lane Charlotte, NC
The Pit Mooresville, NC
A few other indoor places I don’t remember the names of.

Outdoor karts:
GoPro
COTA
MCC
NCMP
VIR
G&J
Anderson

Cars:
Mid Ohio
VIR
CMP

Crew:
Las Vegas speedway
Supernats (karts)
Nola (karts)
Pitt race (karts)
Road America
Road Atlanta
Lime Rock
Mid Ohio
Long Beach
Daytona
Sebring
Canadian Tire
Laguna seca
VIR
Barber
Homestead
Sonoma
Indianapolis
Eldora
Limaland
Palm beach international

I’m sure I’m forgetting some but it’s just an idea.

Does your race team ever go abroad?

We had a spot for LeMans this year but didn’t take it. And there’s been interest in doing Bathurst 12hr, Spa 24, etc. But the team itself hasn’t participated overseas in a while. A lot of the crew also work with other teams and go just about everywhere.
