I see you have a PVL on that DSC. Is it an oval port?
Its beautiful. I mean it.
Those purple fins. Everything is immaculate.
You matched the cable management to the steering wheel and chain guard.
No it’s a bridge port with nikasil lining.
Not the fastest motor but has been pretty reliable. Always seems to fire really easy and only seized it once and that was my fault for running it without rebuilding/checking it when I first got it.
Any DSC is a keeper. Although I think the DSD is one of the best looking kart engine of all time.
Thinking of the slide carb, At least the throttle cable only broke. I remember one guy had the slide fall out of his once
Ooo… beautiful. Great job .
I’ve used JB Weld to fill in scratches on the underside of my kart. The Key is to start sanding on it before it hardens completely. I usually wait 2 hours before I hit it with 80 grit to get the general shape, then fine sand to get it smooth. After it hardens for a day or so, then I prime and paint.
This was a trick I learned when restoring old WW2 stuff. Works well on kart chassis too.
