So the kart was leaking water and I decided to take it home to inspect and I found two different leaks, one that appears to come from a “hole” near the water pump gasket and another one that appears to come from one of the bolts of the head (attached videos):
The hole seems to be a perfect round shape if its part of the casted part, is that hole part of the engine block and its a busted gasket or its a actually a one in a million perfectly shaped circular crack from an impact and needs to be welded?
Regarding the upper leak on the bolt, is it a cracked block or could it be something simpler?
You posted the same link twice. I believe the bottom “perfect” hole is the weep hole to show you that the pump shaft seals are bad. Top could just be a gasket.
BTW if the seals are bad where else would the leaking water go, into the transmission oil? I suppose since I gotta open it I was gong to replace it anyway but I just wanna know if it gets contaminated in the case of a shaft seal failure.
About the top leak, do you mean the head gasket or are there any other gaskets in the area?
BTW is anybody know where i can get a free service manual online for these engines?
CR125 engines are a dime a dozen unlike kart specific engines so you should be able to find 10+ videos on how to maintain certain parts of them on YouTube.
