Posting one for our Australian racer pal, @Bobby
This track reminds me of your narrow Slideways. But, it’s just a bit wider and racier. Similarly nuts, though. Enjoy.
The video offers no info as to location, it looks maybe like Europe to me.

So I have a question. Saw this on the gram. You see the cable tie on the steering wheel with the tail pointing upwards ? Any thoughts on its purpose?
I don’t see it holding anything to the wheel (and why would you) im thinking a subtle aiming reference to help keep the wheels straight as much as possible?
I’ve used that as a training technique with my son as an easy visual way for him to see the movement of the wheel in his vision without looking down. The intent is to have him recognize if he’s sawing at the wheel in corners and focus on smooth inputs.
Ooof! Poor guy.
That’s a cool track. Where is it? The banked turn with the cement insert looks like fun.
@Spenny I am watching Jenna’s race and it’s interesting how different the surface plays once the sun is gone. The conversational dialogue between the two of you works well.
She’s drives well and has good instincts. She’s being patient and doesn’t have the race experience yet, but when she figures it out, she’s gonna do very well. She reminds me of the early days where you are kinda stuck behind folks cos you don’t know how to get around, yet.
I think Jana is correct. Had she wanted to appeal, she was indeed passed under yellow and, to her point, he chose to slot in between her and the disabled kart. The other driver should probably have given it back, imho. But, things like that happen and it probably wasn’t intentional.
Its in sentul. Jakarta, indonesia (somewhere in southeast asia)
That’s very cool! There was another gentleman from Indonesia who posted here recently.
Thanks for watching! The main thing I see in her racing is that she is really hesitant to stay squarely behind another driver through corners. If she is close to another driver, she tends to take a narrower entry or saw off the exit in order to avoid being right behind the driver ahead. This makes it really hard to set up a pass. The other thing she has a habit of doing is not turning out of corners. She turns in okay and drives to the apex fine but then seemingly “forgets” to steer out of the exit. She just keeps her corner entry steering angle in and cuts the exit off losing momentum.
But I do think she has a lot of really solid elements to her racing and will develop those with some time. She is damn competitive so the spirit is there!
Also, small note that her name is “Jana” not “Jenna” Common mistake!
The yellow flag was a bit of a farce in my opinion. The track marshal is normally posted up on the inside of that final corner in the grass. When the driver spun out on the exit, he ran across the LIVE track and then just stood next to the spun kart. If the marshal had stayed at his post, the yellow would have been clear to the incoming drivers and avoided a very sketchy situation in my opinion. Look at this screen grab from the straight headed into that corner:
The yellow is not visible at all. So, personally, I don’t fault the driver who passed all that much because the marshal / flag was not where he is normally positioned and the yellow being “waived” was incredibly hard to see. Factoring in the very dark conditions, it was a very unsafe situation in my opinion. The exit of that corner is very fast and the racing line is right where the disabled driver (and the marshal) were sitting.
Yup. I saw that as you were discussing it with Jana. I recall that feeling as well. The hesitancy to be squarely behind someone.
Maybe do a practice session if just you and her bump drafting. Put her up front for 3 laps and then switch. Rinse repeat until she’s raring to bang bumpers. Learn how to do it that way.
I recall once I started to bump draft, I think I realized it’s actually safer to be right behind than slightly off to side.
Jana sounds a lot like me.
Vision through the kart ahead. Jenna needs to think about how and where she’s looking.
I too tend to over hold the turns. For me, eyes moving, showing me where the runout is helps me to open up the wheel. Once she’s sighted her apex, move on visually to the exit.
Hot tip re YouTube price increase
If you purchase you tube premium other than directly from YouTube be aware that there has been a $5 monthly price increase.
In my case, I was paying for YouTube via Apple subscriptions,
In order to not pay Apple an extra 5 bucks a month you must cancel and wait for the sub to run out.
Once the sub is run out, go directly to YouTube and buy premium there for 13.99 a month.
Pretty cool camera angel using my old gopro 3 as foot cam (impressive quality for such and old camera)
And for onboard i use my hero 9 black
That’s a cool angle. It must be hard to line up the top and bottom footage
Hehe i did the good old thing where i pressed both at the same time and it turned out pretty good
There’s a remote that starts the cameras. I think I have one.
yeah i have 1 too but it was not chrged and i left it at my house, Anyways race weekend coming up and with that comes my fav prepp work, i will be changing front sprocket, Cleaning manfold and cylinder exhaust port prob also sanding and poishing the manifold, take off the top and clean all the carbon buildup from piston and from the fuel chamber, changing spark, removing bendig and clutch/ starter ring assemby cleaning it and sanding clutch and oiling bendix, new brushes in start motor and a fresh battery. Some time ago, one of our contributors was working on racing this track. There was some discussion about what seems to me to be turns 8-11. It’s a left followed by a right onto a straight bit.
Anyways, Ryan does it very well indeed here. Worth a look. There’s also a pass executed in this complex which is a bonus treat.
One other thing that I found interesting, he takes all the kerb at 7? Which is a 90 left, kinda. I have not seen that kerb being taken in the club racing vids.
Overall a fun and exciting race. I bet Ryan was annoyed but he wasn’t the only one being pushed around. Some exciting stuff!

“Corey started 2nd and stayed on Bradford bumper the whole race pushing him away from 3rd place racer. Then on last stretch he made his move for the win. It was text book driving.”
Scott says Amber started 24th and ran a superb race, finishing 9th.
Needless to say, they were pleased.
