Welding on EGT

I have a new KA 100 that I want to install at EGT on. It would appear the factory welding on the pipe is TIG, but all I have access to is a MIG welder. I would rather not find out the hard way that this won’t work with the thickness of the metal. Does anyone have experience doing this? Will a MIG welder work?

I used a MIG welder to put the plug in my KA100 exhaust. No problems after 3 seasons.
Keep an eye on the temperature and make sure its all clean and you should be fine.
