What did you do to your kart today?

I have the best luck using mineral spirits and a heavy duty paper towel. It cuts and cleans the grease, gas, and brake fluid. It also cleans off some rubber marks. Suggested to wear gloves.

I’ll have to try your suggestion.

I’ve been using Tub O’ Towels and blue shop towels.

Fixed the jetting issue on the 100CC so hopefully I won’t abuse of @Charles_Kaneb generosity and won’t have to rely on his leg’s capacity to push start me for half a lap…

Culprit was the oring that seals the needle tip. I caught it on track but some particles got stuck in the passages and wouldn’t allow the engine to run right at “low” RPMs and made it super hard to start. Ultrasonic cleaner took care of it, good as new, starts at first try.

Also learned you should never, ever get close to the spark plug cap of those old engines when they rev. Or you should, when you need a jolt of energy to kickstart your day

Top has toyota aigo engine at weight 300kg

Well you could roll down the windows in the hatch and pretend it’s a cool formula car. I am very biased, Mike. I am terrible at actual cars if they aren’t formula. Also downforce is cool and you get to have a wing or two on your car.

Im gonna buy this and put on my helmet or kart

Bolted one of my Danger Doritos to my shifter roller to have some fun at our end of season fun race. First time with one on Sprint. Was a good time for sure.

That stands out on the grid.

That is awesome! How did it fair against X30 and shifter lap times?

Kart was nowhere near optimized, as my tires were well worn and the setup needed to be tweaked closer to a single speed setup and roll speed versus my normal point and shoot shifter setup. The carb setup could’ve been better also, not to mention the gearing. My best lap was about 1.5s off my brother in his KZ. With some work I think I could get on par or close to it. It’s boogies down the straights, easily keeping up with the KZ once it hits its stride.
