Who Makes What (2022)

Does omaps only make ckr or there’s a sub-brand under omaps?

What were the Supernat entries for 2023? I was looking on their website but didn’t see a list?

One kart brand not captured in the above is BestKart. “Rumor has it” they will be making their SuperNats debut this year. Possibly more info to follow.

BestKart is homologated by AMV. It uses (no surprise) AMV components and is welded by AMV. The chassis design and tubes “look” to be very similar to another kart brand.

Anyone know pantano kart by the legendary giorgio pantano?

Forward Direction Motorsports picked up the importership in the USA. Seem to be doing well with them.

Some of the parts look like kart republic components, some look like they’re inspired by Righetti, some by Birel.

Regardless like any it’s about the support of the chassis from the top down.

I think they have been made by Haase for a while too. Locally we had lots of Haase and BRM karts back in the day.

Fully agree, I like their new fluo orange frames nowadays :raised_hands:t2:

Brm Is still present in the north of Italy with his small factory… selling chassis at pretty discounted price lately !

is that not just a rebranded praga

Lammers was their official driver for a time it seems

didn’t know there was an american Tony Kart factory team.
Why they left?

There was always a team associated with the US distributor that would host the factory when they came to races in North America. However since OTK took over their own distribution in the US with OTK USA the focus is more on making sure dealers are equipped to handle the racing for them, and they’ll pick and choose teams if they need to send drivers over for certain events. You’ll typically see them with RPG.

All that said, it’s been a long time now since OTK sent an actual factory effort to an event here. It would be great to see, but they don’t really have much to gain from the expense so I understand why they don’t bother.
