It seems all the puddles end up in your lap.
Not a bad idea to start off on a good day. I think sheāll love it no matter what though
I prefer racing in the rain because Iām significantly better comparatively in the rain vs. the dry. Being 6ā2" is occasionally advantageous.
We used to dry the track at our local club by having open practice on the track and Iād always go out on slicks because we didnāt have/want to waste rain tires. I think that helped a lot in learning how to drive in the rain. Definitely something I recommend for everyone.
I would start on a good day to get used to the kart, but practicing in the rain is definitely helpful as well.
Iām gonna guess that most didnāt drive in the wet on day 1. Then again, I could be wrong.
Speaking of wet track days. I watched this yesterday, mustāve been that female intuition I keep hearing about
No and thatās why i am not a world champion! ha
I am guessing Lewis was born in a typhoon, then.
I actually recall racing Lewis at a clubby in winter and the track was covered in ice just off line. Was dicy as hell, I had a proper few spins that day. Frozen hands fun
I want to give her as broad a range of experience as I can (hot, cold, wet or dry), but her mother is on the overprotective side so we will have to ease into some of it. I need to find a rain suit at minimum before Momma is going to let her out in the rain. From the mechanic side, I would also like to find a rain cover for the carb. Donāt want to ruin a motor because she drives through a puddle. We will get there!
Gatorade bottle does the trick on my air filter. Or you can use a dunkin cup that you got on the drive up
I was thinking something along those lines. I have seen a lot of the LO206 guys doing something like that when it starting raining.
I think you are a HERO to your family! I am very sorry for the loss of your brother and father. And I can certainly see why you made the decision you did. You did it for your family. Good on you, mate! You are a good father! Bravo.
And what better way to keep the racing juices going than karting?
I am just getting into this sport. Did the rental kart thing, and got hooked. Iām fortunate that my wife actually let me get into it further by allowing me to buy my own kart (which is being built and waiting for a motor). I canāt wait to turn some laps in my own kart! Why? I just like the thrill of cornering and the G forces and the feeling of actually racing! (as opposed to the F1 and WRX racing I was doing on XBox.) My wifeās car is a 2016 Miata and is such a blast to drive, but I didnāt want to wreck her car if I did something stupid! I found out about my local kart track, gave it a try, and like I said, I was hooked! Now, I will be able to get my āGo Fastā ya yas out, without worrying about crashing an expensive car. AND I can go and race head to head too? YEAH!!!
