2022 Formula 1 Season: Official Discussion Thread

If you can get it in your area I’d recommend F1TV. Bit amateur at times and they go on weird strategy/theory tangents, but it’s a good broadcast.

I enjoy the F1TV broadcasts. The Sky broadcasts and analysts show more british bias in my opinion which gets annoying.

I cannot sadly

Stinks for K-Mag, nothing he could do there other than lock the brakes once spun.

Playing bumper cars out there today!

Can’t believe Verstappen got a penalty for that, the onboard pretty clearly shows Hamilton just turning in on Verstappen when Verstappen had established his position very well going into turn 2

That feels like a bizarre penalty for Max… he was side by side and got squeezed and he gets a penalty? Not sure how he could’ve avoided that. I tend agree with Brundle’s opinion that he deserved some space there.

Fun aggressive battling though right off the bat!

Let’s go! Final laps should be spicy!

Did Ferrari finally make a decent strategy call??? Maybe there is hope for next year

Nice to see Fitapaldi getting the checkered honors. Great job for Russel & Merc. C’mon Leclerc….trying to poach points and a podium from Sainz

Very well deserved

Max being a PITA. There’s going to be words after being stuck on the very slow yellows.

If Checo disappears and doesn’t want to talk, I couldn’t blame him at all.

Wow… Max’s radio message telling off his team that he is not letting Perez thru.

It’s sort of a time when you wish F1 was more like NASCAR. Where’s Max? Punch

Max just destroyed the relationship, he was happy to take positions from Checo when it benefited him but won’t return the favour when he has absolutely nothing to lose. What an ass.

Wish Alonso could’ve gotten Charles, his pace at the end was great.

Fun race, lots of action!

:grimacing: If there’s any truth to that, then that would be as arelationship destroyer as not giving up 4th place. Max clearly never forgives a slight, and will make things even.

… not attempt an overtake apparently  Racing incident. Lewis knew he was there, Max knew what he was doing. 50/50

Anyone know what happened to Schumacher? He was up around 8th or 9th then bottom 15 or so.

Bad timing or strategy calls?

Seemed like Haas just didn’t stay on top of the tire strategy as well as some others. Also he was up to 8th or so when Verstappen and Leclerc were at the back.
