I think bother Ferrari/Haas and Mercedes believe there’s mitigating circumstances with Bearman and Antonelli because the belief is Prema are struggling with this years F2 car.
Additionally they’ve both done plenty of testing in F1 machinery and simulators.
Hmmmm I haven’t thought of it this way! This certainly seems to hold some sort of truth. (there are a few exceptions, however. Recent example being Guanyu Zhou)
I believe F2 shows the drivers depending whether top of the grid or bottom, I feel like especially recently it sometimes shows them maybe they aren’t exactly ready for formula 1 or are exactly made for it and they are found to be better in other categories such as Indy, Gt, formula E and Wec
its either lawson or daniel Ricciardo, I feel like its Daniel Ricciardo since Vcarb is more of a junior program and dani is definitely not a junior so its either 2 things, Daniel takes perez’s seat lawson takes his or daniel stays in Vcarb and lawson takes the Rb seat which is unlikely.
They gave Lando prime strategy even though Oscar was leading to cover Lewis.
Lando wanted to stay ahead saying he needed to close in on Max in the championship.
McLaren botched the management of that race again but were lucky they had such a good car. They need to get on top of these things now that they’re consistently at the front again. That could’ve been much cleaner.
McLaren should’ve just given Oscar prime strat since he was leading and let them race fair and square.
Or made it clearer that Lando needs to get as many points as possible on a day where Max struggled, and let him take the win.
They were not decisive and firm enough initially and then had to really argue Lando down to get him to move over.
