Oh I remember that… what was the game called?
Road Rash. One of my favorites for Sega Genesis and then me and my buddy loved the N64 version when it came out too.
I wonder if Lando moved over as soon as he was first told would he and Piastri been allowed to race? I believe Lando would have easily passed Oscar but waiting till the last few laps negated that.
I wish people would stop with the “Ocon is dirty, crash heavy, toxic driver” when it is not the case.
He has had contact or incident with basically every teammate he’s had in F1. Except maybe Will Stevens.
Not always his fault, but he is the common denominator.
He absolutely is toxic, i dont think he’s crash heavy, but he’s a garbage teammate that causes inter team problems, and isnt an exceptional driver. Teams will put up with driver issues when its a prost and senna, or a hamilton and rosberg situation where both are neck and neck for the title. The wont put up with a toxic mid pack driver for long.
Could be spicy tomorrow with Max starting p11. Would like to see changeable conditions to add to the excitement. My top three Norris, Piastri and Max.
Fair bet I think. If it’s dry Max can move up but the McLarens are fast in a straight line so will be tough to beat.
Curious to see who set up for rain and who set up for dry.
“Being on the sim is not so bad after all, while most people are nagging about that. They can all f*** off! It was a good day.” MV
Well my prediction for top three was way off! Not expecting two mercs in the top three (before dq). Only had Piastri in my top three. Probably not the most exciting race although the first lap between Ham an Perez was not bad, also the last ten laps was pretty much edge of the seat stuff! Very unfortunate for George to get a dq after a fine race.
He isn’t fit for a leadership role which we saw when he was ferrari’s team principal, but as an advisor or in a technical role is where he will shine
What does everybody think of the (slightly) unhappy 1-2s lately? I felt for Hamilton who managed his whole race well but fell short to a seemingly outrageous strategy call (30+ laps on those tires!). Hamilton also said in post race interviews that he had tires left every time he was called into the pits. Seemed like he felt a little blindsided because he did everything the team asked him to while George made his own calls and got the better of him.
However, I also see it from George’s side: he called a good strategy and just managed to keep Hamilton behind at the end. Fantastic drive, and probably an outcome the team didn’t expect. We all thought Hamilton was for sure going to catch him. Then George’s DQ sent the whole thing up in flames. Complete media disaster and not a single happy Merc driver.
Yes, maybe Hamilton just wasn’t good enough today to pass his teammate on much fresher tires, but maybe he would have pushed harder had he known he was fighting his teammate? To my knowledge, Hamilton wasn’t aware Russell was on a one-stop until veryyyyy late in the race. Or, maybe he played it a little safer because he didn’t want to give Toto 2016 war flashbacks and another reason to break his table. Would love to hear what you guys think!
Sainz has made his choice! Bold move. Must not see enough potential in Audi…
I hope Williams has a few things up their sleeves for the near future.
One thing they have in their pocket is the Merc 2026 engine package which is generally thought of to be an absolute gem.
I was hoping he would go to Merc tbh. On the other hand I’m excited to see Carlos racing against Albon, now we get to see if he is really getting the most out of that Williams.
Russell got (unintentionally) screwed there. Consensus seems to be that 1.5KG over race distance would be around 2 seconds total. I think Russell still would have been able to hold Lewis off just as he did. Not to mention the fact that if it was tire wear that put the car underweight, this would not have been an all-race scenario
Very curious to know how his car ended up 1.5KG under though. Wonder if the policy for weighing cars after a dry race may also move to process used after wet races where a new set of slicks are fitted to the car before weighing.
It is interesting to see how many people claim that this was some sort of selective enforcement of rules and/or that min weights are some sort of a crazy rule that only F1 would have.
“So, ya wanna play?”
Changed your mind I see…
Yeah that’s a good overtake and likely to color how that driver who tried to test the overtaking driver, sees him in the future.
“Yeah, he’ll go for it.” will forever remain in his mind re that guy.
Like the next video they suggest… Pogacar versus Vingegaard in the Tour de France… just crushed him and completely emasculated the field. Almost comical.
