Not sure I’m sold on the hybrid being available with ovals. I think it caused quite a few issues based on the weird wrecks.
I fear I’m becoming (or already am) old man yelling at clouds but it seems like a weird implementation.

I believe they started this last year just for the Iowa double

In fairness, Iowa is boring as hell since the repave. Some oval races are pretty exciting.
I agree about Diffey, never liked him in the booth.
Yeah typically Indy ovals can be fun when there are multiple grooves but that second Iowa race was a snoozer.

And he did great in qualifying considering the complete lack of practice, dealing with the new hybrid system, and using a different steering wheel.
