Is The Raket 120 Engine Still Active in Club Racing?

There was a club for that here in Lithuania, popular little engine i remember, 13 hp i think. Closed because the owner had personal issues. Anyway is it still raced somewhere else in the world?

I’ve never even heard of it. Doubt it ever came to the states.

I’ve only ever seen it used in Finland for ice racing.

But I’m sure it’s used for other things too. I think mondokart sell them still… so somebody has to be running them.

Nah ive never seen anything about it in the US too

If im correct its a paragliding engine?

Seems probable that they are used for paras. After looking around, I discovered it’s actually Radne that sell them, not Mondokart.

Since we’re talking about it… I might as well share some info…

Stated service intervals are appealing. I’m sure in hard racing conditions, for optimal performance might be different. But still, pretty decent. I believe these numbers are under the assumption that a quality air filter is used.

Brutal engines when it comes to reliability and longevity

We use Raket 95 in 3 different classes

Cadetti, micro and mini

Same engines but with different restrictions. Very cost effective and highly popular

I was the first one in 2008 to test it for Radne as a prototype, before that we ran Raket 85 with push start

It’s like a 2 cycle 206… Minus the sealing.

Brutal as in very good?

I love how compact they are. Considered using 2T piston port engines on our ice karts just to have that nice over-rev capability and mechanical simpicity.

It is good for what it is and what you pay. For sure not as fast as Mini60. But not that far away

Miles better in reliability

Why is it not known abroad? Sounds like a great thing.

Don’t know… used in both Finland, Norway, Denmark and Estonia
