I raced Legends cars at the Indianapolis Speedrome when I was a teenager. If I’m remembering correctly, that pictue was taken after I won a heat race in 2001. That’s pretty impressive that they crammed one into a van! We toted ours around in an 18 foot enclosed trailer. I think the weight rule was 1200 lbs with the driver in it.
Nice driv3way. Did you know I had an orange 73 micro bus at your age?
My proudest moment: Jen calls me and says, “hey I’m taking a bunch of my girlfriends to the Dead show at giants stadium and we have an extra ticket… could you drive us?”
I originally looked at a VR6 Eurovan when I started brainstorming this whole van idea, but they aren’t quite long enough, and the transmissions grenade themselves. Plus Eurovans are insanely overpriced, the market loves all VW vans.
There was an attempt to answer the question: Does a car have any effect insofar as attracting a (female) mate?"
Believe it or not, a group of insurers commissioned a study.
The only vehicle that had any discernible effect insofar as what a potential mate might think of you: the dark colored pickup truck. Seriously. Practicality wins again.
From my personal experience the only people who show interest in my 911 are the very old or very young. Nick calls it the “douchemobile” and has requested that I never pick him up or appear in public with him in it.
